Quick Guide to Microsoft Edge
Here you will find some basic guidance and links to resources on how to use Microsoft Edge for teaching, training, learning and development.
Microsoft Edge is popular web browser for the workplace (where Microsoft products power the enterprise). It replaces the older Internet Explorer.
The new Microsoft Edge is based on the Chromium open-source project. Chromium forms the basis of Google Chrome, so the new Edge feels very similar to Google Chrome. So whilst Edge and Chrome are now pretty similar under the hood, they’re still different. Edge strips out Google’s services and, in many cases, replaces them with Microsoft ones. For example, Edge syncs your browser data with your Microsoft account rather than a Google one.
Edge has new features like Collections, and a comprehensive set of built-in learning and accessibility tools on the Web.
